RADIO HEALTH PEARL #496    …brought to you by the Gesundheit! Nutrition Center.

For those of you dealing with lingering thyroid issues and symptoms, you may want to visit a website called “STOPTHETHYROIDMADNESS.COM”.

Continuous up-to-date information is given to all interested, and there is even a book published with the same name: “Stop The Thyroid Madness”, written by Janie Bowthorpe, now in its revised second edition.

I was looking up information on the importance of supplementing IODINE, SELENIUM and TYROSINE as basic nutrients for the thyroid. And in reality it doesn’t matter if you are dealing with an over-active or HYPER-Thyroid, or an under-active or HYPO-Thyroid, you will still need SELENIUM, IODINE and TYROSINE.

As far as IODINE is concerned, it has shown a combination of health benefits even in dosages of 50 MILLIGRAMS daily!

If you are suffering from hair loss, fatigue, weight gain and intestinal digestive disturbances, then supplement your daily diet with a product called TRI-IODINE for about 3 months …from the Gesundheit! Nutrition Center, on North 19th Avenue.

ADRENAL FATIGUE

Monday, April 23rd, 2012

RADIO HEALTH PEARL #470    …brought to you by the Gesundheit! Nutrition Center.

A regular topic of discussion in the natural health industry is the weakness of our adrenal glands, also called Adrenal Fatigue.

The adrenals are small pyramid-shaped organs on top of our kidneys. They consist of two parts and each makes very specific hormones:

• The outer layer is called MEDULLA and produces the hormone DHEA. DHEA helps both testosterone and estrogen production.

• The inner layer is called CORTEX and this helps produce CORTISOL. CORTISOL is better known as our fight-or-flight or stress hormone.

The adrenals can only produce a certain amount of hormones and it balances that between daily amounts of DHEA and CORTISOL.

Adrenal Fatigue happens when the body is forced to make much more Cortisol than is programmed. Such is the case in most people’s daily stress. And because the adrenals can only do SO MUCH, they produce less DHEA, resulting in fatigue.

There are plenty answers to restore that balance. Some of those are available at …the Gesundheit! Nutrition Center, on North 19th Avenue.
