RADIO HEALTH PEARL #472     …brought to you by the Gesundheit! Nutrition Center.

Are you one of many people who struggle when picking the right Calcium-Magnesium supplement?

Let me try to be helpful here:

First, decide if you want to take a capsule, a tablet, a liquid, or a powder.

Second, don’t worry so much about the milligrams; it is more important that you have a highly absorbable form, so you get more absorption, in stead of more waste. For example: Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Oxide are very, very poorly absorbed. Anything else will simply be better.

Third, make sure you have enough Hydrochloric Acid in your stomach. You need enough stomach acid in order to convert a calcium-magnesium supplement into a biologically absorbable form.

Fourth, for extra assimilation, look into adding additional Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2, each at about 5,000 units daily.

If you are indeed interested in a Calcium-Magnesium supplement then there are many different options available. And we’re happy to help find the right one for you …at the Gesundheit! Nutrition Center, on North 19th Avenue.
