RADIO HEALTH PEARL #472 …brought to you by the Gesundheit! Nutrition Center.
Are you one of many people who struggle when picking the right Calcium-Magnesium supplement?
Let me try to be helpful here:
• First, decide if you want to take a capsule, a tablet, a liquid, or a powder.
• Second, don’t worry so much about the milligrams; it is more important that you have a highly absorbable form, so you get more absorption, in stead of more waste. For example: Calcium Carbonate and Magnesium Oxide are very, very poorly absorbed. Anything else will simply be better.
• Third, make sure you have enough Hydrochloric Acid in your stomach. You need enough stomach acid in order to convert a calcium-magnesium supplement into a biologically absorbable form.
• Fourth, for extra assimilation, look into adding additional Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2, each at about 5,000 units daily.
If you are indeed interested in a Calcium-Magnesium supplement then there are many different options available. And we’re happy to help find the right one for you …at the Gesundheit! Nutrition Center, on North 19th Avenue.
